“Over the last year we’ve experienced an unsettled time with staff turnover in the IT department and I found it extremely difficult to get the necessary skills in place, which is a problem amplified in our rural setting.
Following a personal recommendation from Kelly MacKay (Bursar) at Albyn School, Aberdeen, we engaged with Mother Technologies and thanks to their prompt response, we quickly agreed on a Short-Term Emergency Support package. With this in place, IT Support Engineers were deployed to site for an initial audit, network assessment and onboarding project, as well as providing support remotely from their Helpdesk. This has subsequently led to a further longer-term contract to support our internal IT resource with complex issues (3rd line), network monitoring/management, and project work.
The ongoing support extended to our internal resource is working exceptionally well. We already see Mother as an extension of the Glenalmond IT Department, working collaboratively to provide support to the school and I’m confident that the future will see us retain their services and further improve our offering.
From the first call I had with Mother I have been impressed. They provided immediate support and expertise without delay or drama. As such, I would have no hesitation in recommending Mother to any school requiring IT support or to supplement their existing IT team and indeed would suggest a call to discuss options could only be beneficial to them.”
